FASHION JOURNALISM
This project is an interpretation of Elle magazine. This was for a Fashion Journalism class that entailed an overall theme, trend research, hot spots and destinations, an interview with a designer, and a feature on a designer or brand. It was created during the Fall 2014 season, where Spring/Summer 2015 Ready to Wear fashion shows were taking place. This magazine is a representation of the Spring season with an array of florals, pastels, and feminine styles. I utilized my InDesign and Photoshop skills to manipulate photos and to create a clean and clear magazine style layout. Most of my photos were sourced from Style.com, matchesfashion.com, and Pinterest.
I enjoyed this project very much, as I was able to utilize multiple skills: editing and page layout, trend and market research, and writing. This project has also taught me how to write as a fashion journalist and be able to pitch potential articles and ideas.
